2020 Census Results Are IN!

Here’s a summary of 2020 census results related specifically to Cape Cod and the Islands. While we all suspected this due to the heavier road traffic this summer, more of us are now living here; and in some locations, many more! In the last decade the population on Cape Cod has increased 6.1%.

Call Us When You Get to the Bridge

The Cape Cod Canal Bridges (Bourne and Sagamore, respectively) provide basically everyone who lives on or visits this wonderful peninsula access to the Cape and Davisville, in particular.

Let me briefly give the background for the title of this update. Now that almost everyone who travels has a cell phone with them, when we are expecting visitors to our home, we frequently say to them, “Call us when you get to the bridge.”

Menauhant Bridge & Beach Update

Peter McConarty, Town of Falmouth, Director of Public Works, spoke at the 69th Davisville Civic Association Annual Meeting on the planned construction projects for both the Menauhant Bridge and Beach: Bournes Pond Inlet Widening, New 90-Foot Span Bridge, New Groins and Nourishment at Menauhant Beach West, and Removal of Old Menauhant Bridge Remnants.
