Opportunity to Serve as Town Meeting Member for the Town of Falmouth

Precinct 4 needs YOU to consider running for Town Meeting Member

The Town of Falmouth has a Representative Town Meeting Form of Government consisting of 243 elected members from nine separate precincts who are elected for three-year terms at an Annual Town election held each year in the spring. Davisville is located within Precinct 4. You must be a Town of Falmouth registered voter to be eligible for election as a Town Meeting Member.

Davisville Village Needs at Least Four New People
Precinct 4 needs YOU to consider running for Town Meeting Member. Each year in the May election, voters elect one-third of their Town Meeting Members to a three-year term. This year, out of the nine Members elected in one year, four will not be running for re-election which means we need at least FOUR NEW PEOPLE willing to step up and serve as a Town Meeting Member. This is how we make sure that our community has a voice when articles are approved and disapproved. It is our way to make sure that other areas of Falmouth are not more heavily weighted when it comes to deciding what is happening with our town.

Turn in Your Nomination Papers by March 29, 2022
If you agree to run, you would pick up nomination papers at the Town Clerk office and turn them back in with 10 signatures from eligible voters in Precinct 4 before March 29, 2022. Your name would then be placed on the May ballot. If you are one of the nine elected, you would then attend both the November and April Town Meetings every year, as well as the one-night Precinct Meeting held usually the week prior to Town Meeting. It would also be important to keep up with current issues in Falmouth and be willing to read through the Warrant Booklet to understand the articles you will vote on at each Town Meeting.
