Erosion Mitigation

Davisville Road EXTENSION Beach

Great News for the 2020 Summer Season!!
For those Davisville Civic Association Board members who have either walked to the Davisville Road Extension Beach or attempted to swim at this beach, you may have noted that continued coastal erosion had made access from the beach to the water almost impossible. In fact, in 2019, a resident was injured while trying to access the water from the beach.

Because this beach is at the end of Davisville Road Extension, the Town of Falmouth considers this to be a public beach, for which they assume certain responsibilities.

To improve the situation, members of your Davisville Civic Association Board met with officials of the Town of Falmouth Conservation and the Department of Public Works to discuss removing the unsightly wooden pilings and adjusting the rocks to permit safe access from beach to water.

As promised, the Town of Falmouth completed its work on March 31, 2020. Our many thanks to the Town of Falmouth – it looks great!!
